You gotta be wise

Listen as your day unfolds, challenge what the future holds, try and keep your head up to the sky. Lovers, they may cause you tears, go ahead release your fears, stand up and be counted, don't be ashamed to cry. You gotta be, You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard, You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, You gotta stay together

Ronald Reagan

"Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide."

Grandma June

Christmas 2010

Grandma June is in the hospital. Ick. She is in Oswego. Double Ick. I am hoping they transfer her to the hospital where I work, soon. Then I can see her every day. Twice a day. All day, if I want. She needs a cardiac cath. Triple Ick. She was supposed to have it done 2 years ago. But doesn't want to be in Syracuse, so far away from everyone (because Syracuse is so far away). haha. She is a stubborn old lady. Who still works full time as a home health aide, taking care of old(er) people.

Grandma June isn't technically even my grandmother. She is Gracelyn's father's Grandmother. haha. But since before I had Gracelyn, she has been to every holiday dinner/ birthday party/ family gathering at my house and my parents, even tho we haven't seen Gracelyn's father in years. Years.

She just sorta worked her way into my family. Even if I can't make it to a family gathering at my parents, she still goes. lol. Even my extended (un-related) family is very familiar with her.

I'm worried about her, but I know she'll be just fine. She's a tough old lady. But, please, keep her in your prayers, anyways.
