I feel like all I complain about is how tired I am. Even when I'm not. It's just habit. It's rare that I'm not exhausted. Tired. Wiped. Run-down. Over-tired. Burned out. I don't sleep. It is rare that I get more than 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Esp. during the 6 days a week that I sleep during the day. Regardless of the amounts of Benadryl and Melatonin, I can't sleep. I try sleeping without the help of sleep aids. Nothing works. I don't get it.
Between the Benadryl and the NSAIDs for my headaches, I pray my kidneys don't turn against me.
With the Benadryl, I'll sleep for a good 2 maaaaybe 3 hours then toss and turn the rest of the day. With Melatonin, I get a good 2 hours, then that's it. I'm wide awake until about 3 pm, then I fall asleep, only to have to get up at 330pm. Go figure.
I sleep the best from 5pm-930pm. Which is awesome for when I work my 8's and go in at 11pm. On my nights off, however, I am exhausted by the time my husband walks in the door, and I head to bed before my kids, and am wide awake by 11pm, then up all night. Yay for working night shift and having a screwed up sleep schedule.
I can't blame it on work. I've never been able to sleep. My friend's mom has told me multiple times since I was a teenager that I was "born tired". She's not far off. haha.
I'm hoping I'll sleep well tonight ::looks at clock, counting down until the husband walks in the door::. I've been up since last night, and I am running on my 3 hours of sleep a day since last Thursday.
P.S. It's my husband's birthday. It's going to go something like this, unfortunately, "Happy Birthday. I love you. Goodnight." I'll make it up to him. I'll make a cake. Someday. When I'm not exhausted.
